Pulag 100 2016 King of the Mountain Race

So last year, I ran a little race - it was 116km with 8,722m of elevation (according to my Strava) in the mountains of Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines, during a thunderstorm, with leeches and crazy suspension bridges.

It was the hardest thing I have ever attempted and I'm proud as punch for getting fully outside my comfort zone to test my limits.

I have been meaning to illustrate my race report for the past year but have been busy working and travelling. With just over a week before I do it all again, I finally got it done!

Many Thanks to Frontrunner magazine for organising and reporting the race; to Jonel Mendoza, Race Director, for a brutal and beautiful course; to Andy DuBois of Mile27  who coaches me and makes it possible to even get to the start line; to Richard and Marie for organising transportation for me; to all the incredible support stop crews; and to each and every runner I met and ran with.

Let's do it all again next week. OMG.

Peace out, enjoy the trails xx
