T8 | Limited Edition Trucker Hat

Very excited to share this special limited edition Hong Kong trucker hat I designed for T8.

T8 designs running gear, designed by runners. Their commandos are amazing btw!

As you might be aware (because I talk about it all the time, lol), I love trail running, and we are so blessed to have world-class trails on our doorstep here in Hong Kong.

I wanted to reflect the juxtaposition of nature and urban skyscrapers that we have here, that makes Hong Kong so unique, along with some of the wildlife we often encounter when running or hiking in the mountains. Finally, of course the national flower, the Bauhinia.

The truckers come in two styles. We recommend the Relaxed Fit Technical Trucker for maximum running comfort, while the Tall Technical Trucker sits higher on your head and is more suited for regular casual wear.

Use the special discount code PIRATE15 for 15% off (offer ends June 30th)

Enlighten & Empower

I am excited to be visiting Nepal for the first time, to run the Temple to Temple (Stupa to Stupa) race this weekend, and to meet Mira Rai to find out more about her Exchange And Empower programme, which aims to provide talented young female runners in Nepal the opportunity to broaden their horizons, experience different lifestyles, and share their stories and culture with others <3

Here is an illustration I did to celebrate the race, featuring Mira and the two temples, from Swayambhu Stupa to Boudhanath Stupa.

Pulag 100 2016 King of the Mountain Race

So last year, I ran a little race - it was 116km with 8,722m of elevation (according to my Strava) in the mountains of Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines, during a thunderstorm, with leeches and crazy suspension bridges.

It was the hardest thing I have ever attempted and I'm proud as punch for getting fully outside my comfort zone to test my limits.

I have been meaning to illustrate my race report for the past year but have been busy working and travelling. With just over a week before I do it all again, I finally got it done!

Many Thanks to Frontrunner magazine for organising and reporting the race; to Jonel Mendoza, Race Director, for a brutal and beautiful course; to Andy DuBois of Mile27  who coaches me and makes it possible to even get to the start line; to Richard and Marie for organising transportation for me; to all the incredible support stop crews; and to each and every runner I met and ran with.

Let's do it all again next week. OMG.

Peace out, enjoy the trails xx

What If - Midnight in Shanghai

I recently worked with the HK based creative agency, What If, who develop live and impactful experiences for luxury brands. They asked for my illustrated touch for a concept that they were presenting, which involved the sketching and layout of beautiful 1920s costumes and settings.

Here are a few of the images from the story concept:
